Refund Policy

We don't pad invoices and we don't trap customers. Here's exactly when and how we refund.
1. Free 3-minute audit
The free audit at exautomatica.com/shiftkit/audit costs nothing. There is no refund question — only what you do with the verdict.
2. Paid audit ($499)
The $499 paid audit produces a written diagnostic delivered within 48 hours of booking.
- Stack not actually affected. If our audit determines your stack is not exposed to the BSUID rollout (or to any other compliance change the audit covers), we refund the audit fee in full. We tell you this on the audit call, before you incur further commitment.
- Audit credits. If you upgrade to the migration sprint within 14 days of audit delivery, the $499 audit fee is credited in full against the sprint price.
- No-show. If you book the audit and miss the scheduled call without 24 hours' notice, we charge a $99 administrative fee and refund the balance ($400).
- Quality issues. If you receive the audit and feel the diagnostic does not meet the deliverable description (severity-ranked findings, code-level remediation list), email us within 7 days with specifics (see Section 6 for contact). We review and refund in full where the diagnostic falls short of the deliverable scope.
3. Migration sprint ($2,500)
The migration sprint is a fixed-scope 5-day engagement.
- Sprint doesn't work. If we deliver the sprint and the migration does not perform as specified in the scope of work, we fix it free until it does, with no time limit. If after good-faith remediation we cannot make it work, we refund the sprint fee in full.
- Cancellation before kickoff. If you cancel before the sprint kickoff call, we refund the full sprint fee minus the audit fee (which is treated as delivered and non-refundable at that point, except per Section 2).
- Cancellation mid-sprint. If you cancel after kickoff but before delivery, we charge prorated days completed (at $500/day) and refund the balance. Any code we delivered through the cancellation date is licensed to you under standard engagement terms.
- Material missed timelines. If we miss the agreed sprint timeline by more than 25% (i.e., more than 1.25 working days late on a 5-day sprint) without a documented external cause (BSP outage, Meta API change, your team's unavailability), we credit a proportional refund (10% of sprint fee per missed day, up to 30%).
4. Monitoring subscription ($99/month)
- Cancel any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate refunds for the current month.
- Free trial. First 7 days are free. Cancel during the trial and you are not charged.
- Failed delivery. If our monitoring service fails to deliver alerts for a measurable period (i.e., a documented outage on our side, not yours), we credit a prorated refund for the affected days at your request.
5. Agency white-label ($499/month)
- Cancel any time with 30 days' notice. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the notice period, during which you retain full agency access.
- Refund for unused months. If you've prepaid annually and need to cancel, we refund the unused months minus a 10% administrative fee.
- Material breach. If we materially breach our agency agreement (e.g., loss of confidentiality of your client list, deliverable quality systemically below scope across multiple engagements), full refund of the current billing period plus pro-rata of prepaid future months.
6. How to claim
Email mercury@exautomatica.com with:
- Your order reference or invoice number.
- The product line and tier.
- A brief description of why you are claiming a refund.
We acknowledge receipt within 24 hours and resolve refund requests within 7 business days. Where we agree to refund, the credit is issued through your original payment method via Stripe. Stripe processing times typically add 5–10 business days for the credit to appear on your statement.
7. Disputes
If you disagree with our refund determination, you can escalate by emailing us at the address in Section 6 for a founder-level review within 30 days of the determination. We aim to resolve disputes commercially without resort to formal proceedings.

8. What we do not refund
For clarity, the following are not subject to refund except in the explicit cases above:
- Past monitoring or agency white-label subscription months once delivered.
- Custom scope-of-work engagements where the deliverable has been accepted in writing.
- Third-party fees (Stripe processing fees, tax remitted to government authorities).
