How the billing works.
What counts as a billable decision?
Any accepted DecisionRequest that completed the governance pipeline: SENT, HELD, or ESCALATED. The pipeline ran, the check was made, the record exists. Those three outcomes are billed equally.
If REGENT holds a message, I'm billed?
Yes. The governance ran. A compliance officer can pull that trace and prove the system stopped an AI proposal that should have been stopped. That proof is the product.
What is DEFER_REPUSH_REQUIRED?
A decision where the request arrived outside the tenant's send window (quiet hours) or exceeded the processing promise. No governance decision was made — not billed. The tenant re-pushes when the window opens.
What is the processing promise?
Decisions complete within a hard platform maximum measured from receipt. Decisions that exceed it resolve DEFER_REPUSH_REQUIRED — never billed, never sent late silently. The promise exists to prevent silent failures.
Can I see my billing in the dashboard?
Yes. The billing ledger is linked to every accepted DecisionRequest. Each decision's billing status is visible in your operator dashboard — what was billed, why, and the linked audit trace.
How does the trial window work?
Trial tenants run on founders' network terms. All data created during the trial window is audited and deleted or redacted at trial close per the Trial-Window Law. Nothing carries forward without a signed agreement.
